Good Evening fellow modellers!  Apologies for dropping off the radar for the past few days, unfortunately it’s been a busy few days and the yard has been quiet as a result.

I would like to start this blog by recommending another – check out http://brookescastle.blogspot.com/ -it’s a great read and well worth following.

I do not have much in the way of a layout update, except to mention that I finished the fencing on the yard’s central lookout (see picture below).  I still haven’t decided whether I shall “plant” any more trees or put a small building on it, but at least it is tidier now.  The fencing may need a little weathering at some point, but not yet as I’ve lost patience in painting and gluing these small details!

Rebuilt Westcountry Pacific 34026 Yes Tor has been rostered for services.  This Hornby model is a fantastic looking and running model with plenty of pulling power.  I have been intending to rename and number this model to turn it into a preserved example of the class, which no doubt will be a feature of a future post!
