Nice to see 60114 W.P Allen being thrown up, it was named after my great grandfather, though the old girl is far from famous she seems to be doing quite well, So thank you to all for voting for her, and if you would be so kind to perhaps even tell me why you chose her here or email me at mick_thompson7_666@hotmail.com

    • Hi,

      Thanks for the comment. As well as being a real locomotive, WP Allen is also used as the main character in the British Railway series by Simon Martin and has a very strong following! This is largely responsible for the number if nominations.

      For the time being, we are at nomination stage to put together a short-list for a poll that will go live in April. WP Allen will definitely be in that list!

      With this in mind, feel free to nominate up to 3 locomotives of your choice!

  25. W.P. Allen. Big Boy, and the steam engine from “the little engine that could”. ( i wanted to change it up from tomas the tank engine cuz i felt like it was the right thing to do)
