In the summer of 2013, Jeremy Hosking’s LNER A4 4464 Bittern was given special dispensation to run 3 railtours at 90mph to celebrate the 75th anniversary of 4468 Mallard’s 126mph speed record.
This UK Heritage Hub video features two of those railtours, the first being the Ebor Streak on the 29th June (two shots at 88mph between Arlesey and Biggleswade), and the second being the twice-postponed Capital Streak on the 7th December (captured at 75mph through Doncaster, Peterborough, St Neots and arriving into London Kings Cross).
