Closely related to Ivatt’s 4MT 2-6-0, the BR Standard 4MT 2-6-0 class was a useful locomotive used in most regions, with the exception of the west. 115 were produced, 17 of them with a larger BR1B tender for the Southern region. Locoyard’s latest edition to the fleet is Bachmann S&DJR 3F Jinty number 23 (catalogue number 32-233). Today we review the model, that is also produced by Hornby in their “Railroad” range (click here for the review).
One of the more recent additions to the Locoyard fleet is S&DJR 3F Jinty number 23. It will be reviewed in due course, but for the time being here is the guide to fit a DCC decoder.
The Bachmann Fairburn 4MT Tank engine is a favourite performer here at locoyard. It predates this blog, so a DCC fitting guide was never published before, however as the locomotive had a small decoder fitted but had space for a bigger one, I took the opportunity to replace it and publish this guide!
