Model of the Week – LSWR T9 class – 120

Our Model of the Week is the beautiful LSWR T9 class 120.  Possibly one of the best looking models available in 00 scale, the locomotive also has an interesting history that we will look at today.

I am very happy to report that the Watercress Line’s Great Spring Gala truly lived up to its name and then some!  Not only was it Great, but it was fantastic!

Fixing the Hornby T9

Quite possibly the most complimented and most criticised model locomotive on this blog is the Hornby T9.  This fantastic looking model has a level of detail that as far as I’ve seen is yet to be beaten in 00 scale.  The same can not be said for its performance.  I’ve spent some time trying

Todays post is a piece my favourite model (in terms of looks) in my collection.  Making a decent model of such an elegant prototype was always going to equal a nice model, but the lengths that Hornby went to, to made this look absolutely fantastic are incredible.
