Today we finally wrap up looking at the International Exhibition of Model Railways 2013, starting with a brief mention of the model railways not covered previously. Unfortunately due to time constraints I was unable to capture more than glimpse of some of these layouts, so this is literally a whistle stop tour!
The picture above shows motive power from the Solent Model Railway Group’s latest ongoing 00 scale project; “Adelaide Wharf”.
Another “work in progress” is O scale “Ellen Green” which will be a small BR railfreight depot and station. A picture of a kit-built ex-SECR P class to be run on this layout by Brian Wilson from Kent is shown above.
The picture above depicts an N scale diorama of a German/Swiss layout by Derek Gillkerson, Southampton called Bodem-Am-See.
The next, oval layout above is N scale Coniston Junction by Derek Gillkerson from Southampton.
Finally, we have an H0 scale layout from the Scandinavian Railways Society, see above and below.
Most of the layout’s to be seen at this varied and interesting exhibition have been covered in previous blog posts – please see links below to read more. If any of the exhibitors read any of these reports and would like to add, or elaborate further, please feel free to get in touch and have a guest blog post published!
