Today we will briefly reflect on the results  MREmag and RMweb  annual wish list polls.  This poll provides insight into what model rail enthusiasts would like to see produced in ready-to-run form.

There were plenty of Southern Region steam locomotives in the results and this has been expertly covered by Graham Muz (click here to read).  The most wished for Southern 00 scale steam locomotive being Adams Radial 0415 4-4-2 tank (above) which was third overall and the S15 class (below) being fourth.  The BR standard class 2MT2-6-0 was the most popular steam locomotive overall.

Interestingly, the most wished for item overall was a working (gated) level crossing.  As with all these popular items, they may well influence the choice of manufacturers in the future.  Does this mean that one day locoyard will have a working level crossing?  Maybe!
