Today’s blog post looks at locomotive that has been looked at in some detail before on this blog, both in model and real form. This locomotive used to haul heavy coal trains in Wales, but now hauls heavy tourist laden trains. It was the most powerful star of the Kent and East Sussex Railway’s gala (click here for more).
6619’s story was told last year in 2013’s “model of the week” series (click here to read) and also in a visit to the line (click here to read). So rather than repeat it again, I’ll leave you with a few more pictures of this ex-GWR tank engine!
Thanks for reading, apologies for it being so brief!
