After seeing 60163 Tornado in Winchester on Monday, Simon of Brookes Castle tipped me off that 71000 Duke of Gloucester was outside in Eastleigh’s yard, so I popped down to have a look.  This unique BR standard pacific has been out of action for a few months now, hopefully it will be back soon.  The last time we saw this locomotive was in June, when the locomotive was in steam (click here for more).
