On Sunday 17th I managed to squeeze in a couple of visits to Ropley, one mid-afternoon and later in early evening. Fortuitously it was en-route to another destination! Unfortunately, services were very much delayed, so I did not see quite as much as I could have. This give an opportunity to have a proper look at the Watercress Line’s Thomas the Tank engine, that was siting in the loco yard.
Thomas is a converted Hunslet Austerity saddle tank engine and it has to be said, it really looks the part!
More pictures will be posted from this visit in due course, but for now, I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing everyone’s favourite tank engine!
