On this particular bright morning, 45428 waited at Grosmont with a train for Pickering.
As it departed, it blasted a lot of steam out of it’s cylinders.
Shortly after the picture below was taken, I disappeared in a cloud of steam and soot, which is always exciting for a steam enthusiast. Unfortunately, poor Mrs Locoyard who was standing next to me wasn’t quite as impressed as she was covered in soot! Now, you could argue that choosing that spot was a bad idea, but you can definitely argue that laughing at seeing Mrs Locoyard covered in soot was a terrible one! Lesson learnt!
