This is the start of the first official weekend of the summer holiday period of 2013 and to mark it; here are some period railway posters.  To make things a little interesting and seeing as it is high time that we have something exciting for locoyard followers to get involved with, today we invite you to send in your own pictures of holiday themed posters found on railways anywhere!

That’s right, at http://www.locoyard.com we would like to publish your pictures of holiday railway posters!  They can be of any age, region or nationality.  To enter, all you need do is send your pictures to locomotiveyard@gmail.com and they will be published at a later date.  Remember to include the station where you took the picture and also use the opportunity to publicise any web links.  Submissions will be accepted any time from now until the end of August.  So keep your eyes peeled and share what you find!
