This is just a short blog post showing three pictures taken on the layout today. Bachmann 45xx 4555 (above) has well and truly been run-in – expect a review and DCC fitting guide in the not too distant future!
Continuing with the western theme is 56xx 5658 (above), another excellent solid-performer from Bachmann. Finally (below) is another Bachmann tank engine, BR 4MT 2-6-4T 80009 alongside another standard class – 9F 92212.
I hope you are all enjoying your day! Happy railway modelling for 2014 folks!

My 4575 is numbered 1000 after yours and is in the same livery too! These locos run so well but does yours make a clinking noise when running in reverse? I think it comes from the valve gear on one side…?

You’ve got the big tank version, very nice too! Just double checked, but mine doesn’t make that noise. It may be the valve gear, but double check the couplings and brake rigging too. It may just be a bit of plastic catching on the sleepers. If it is the valve gear, be careful if it needs adjusting!
Good luck 🙂
