Blackpool is famous for its heritage trams, and in 2012, they were replaced by modern low floor state of the art Flexity 2 trams. Not to miss out, Blackpool Transport kept some to have as a heritage fleet. 2014 has continued the spirit of the old trams travelling up and down the promenade.
The video above is not from me, but from Gary Mitchell, known for his Blackpool Trams videos, and I have been given permission to share it on the Loco Yard blog. I was not able to visit over the bank holiday due to other commitments.
So, get some Blackpool Rock, or a plate of fish, chips and mushy peas, and enjoy the delight of Blackpool’s heritage trams, featuring Pantograph 167, Boats 600, 230, Brush 631, Balloons 717, 706 and Western Train 733 and Carriage 734, filmed over 24th, 25th and 26th May.
