This morning we have a quick blog post on progress on the project to return the Flying Scotsman to service.  Yesterday an update on Riley & Sons overhaul of the worlds most famous steam engine was published.  Major work to the frames has been completed and a new buffer beam plate has been fitted.  Heritage Painting have been busy painting components – as was reported previously, the locomotive is to be returned to BR Green.  To see more, visit www.flyingscotsman.org.uk/see/photos.
