Welcome Back! As service resumes at UKHH with our September edition, Issue 59, now available at http://ukheritagehub.co.uk/UKHH59.pdf we would like to thank you all once again for your patience and continued excellent and varied contributions during the difficult transition period which saw us without the means to produce a magazine for a prolonged period of time.

It is nice to finally be at the point where we are solving problems as fast as they are occurring and plans are also beginning to come together to allow for a full service to resume in due course.

I am pleased to welcome a new edition to the UKHH in the form of a secretary; the role of which falls to regular contributor Matt Evans who also has the cover this issue. This measure is due to come into place in the coming weeks and will hopefully help to plug the current void surrounding e-mail communication and make sure that things get through to where they need to be rather than lost in technology.

Also in need of a massive amount of thanks for his devotion to getting the UKHH back on track is IT administrator and general technical wizard Mat Yardley whom has put in an enormous amount of time and problem solving into getting the right people access to the right things in order to produce our end result.

With a few changes at the top there have also been one or two changes to the mag already for which feedback is more than welcomed. For the first time it has been possible to incorporate the extensive use of short captions for the images used within the mag. If any contributor wishes to add a short description of an image to their file names or with their submissions it would enable even more comprehensive coverage in this respect.

Our thanks as ever go to everyone whom continues to contribute to this fast expanding enterprise. It is really gratifying to see new names being included in every issue and to continue to receive a good diversity of articles and images from our well-established contributors; and not just your bog standard picture of a train either!

A lot of big events have taken place in recent times and these will feature in a special summer and autumn gala issue, issue 60, for which the submissions deadline has been extended to 6PM on MONDAY 12TH OCTOBER to allow for coverage of this weekend’s KWVR gala.

You can also visit our brand new homepage at www.ukheritagehub.co.uk where you will find our recent previous issues in case there is something you have missed. A new service in this respect concerns older back issues which are now available on request from our IT Administrator, Mat Yardley, either via facebook message OR m.yardley@ukheritagehub.co.uk and he will get them sent out to you.

An ongoing project for an events diary and loco roster is also now reaching an advanced stage and we hope to bring these new features to you in the coming months.

As ever, if you have any images, news pieces or feature articles that you wish to see featured in our e-zine, or even ideas for future features, please send them to submissions@ukheritagehub.co.uk

If it is easier, you can send files/documents etc to us via Dropbox. You can set up a sharing folder with us on Dropbox by simply creating a folder and choosing to ask UKHH to join by using our email address ukheritagehub@gmail.com

Please remember to share the e-zine, and the UKHH’s Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/groups/ukheritagehub/) and even the UKHH’s Twitter feed (@UKHeritageHub) with anyone whom you think may be interested in what we do, in order to keep our exciting community growing.
