  1. Good to see CanPac making such strong progress, any idea what the intended schedule for return to steam is?

    I was intrigued by the comment on replacing manganese steel axlebox liners with cast iron because the manganese steel didn’t bring the expected longevity benefits. I thought the success of manganese steel liners on the LMS classes to which they were retrofitted was well documented, hence their being used on the BR standards and Bulleid rebuilds. I’d also have thought cast iron would be trickier to weld to the axleboxes.
