In anticipation of the review of Bachmann’s model of 60163 Tornado; today we look at few pictures of the real 2008 built beast, taken 22nd August 2010.

Apple Green

These pictures were taken on the Watercress Line – the pictures above at Alton.  At the time it was painted in British Railway’s Apple Green, a livery that suited it very well.  It has since been re-painted in BR Brunswick green (with both early and late crests) and more recently in BR Blue.

For the sake of variety, below is a picture of the relatively old 9F class 92212 that was in operation that day.
