Following from part 1 (click here to read) and part 2 (click here to read) today we look at three more layout’s that were to be found at Southampton Model Railway Exhibition 2013.
Orestone Quay – 4mm finescale, 00 gauge – Burgess Hill Model Railway club, West Sussex
This layout was built and is run in memory of the late John Lewis.
It is set on the south coast circa 1935-1947, in a dock yard where small goods trains operate.
Casterbridge – 7mm scale, 0 gauge – Southampton Model Railway Society
This magnificent layout is based on Dorchester South in the 1950’s/60’s, although it is not an exact copy, hence the name “Casterbridge”.
Wolf Creek – 4mm scale, HO gauge – Clive Cobley, Dorset
This is a fictional DCC layout set in the North Western States of the USA served by the Union Pacific Railroad, set when diesel motive power was replacing steam.
Wolf Creek was full of fantastic details and scenes that was well worth some time watching it!
