SMRS Exhibition 2013 – Part 3 – Orestone Quay, Casterbridge and Wolf Creek

Following from part 1 (click here to read) and part 2 (click here to read) today we look at three more layout’s that were to be found at Southampton Model Railway Exhibition 2013.

Orestone Quay – 4mm finescale, 00 gauge – Burgess Hill Model Railway club, West Sussex

It is set on the south coast circa 1935-1947, in a dock yard where small goods trains operate.

Casterbridge – 7mm scale, 0 gauge – Southampton Model Railway Society

2013 - Southampton Model Railway Exhibition - CasterbridgeThis magnificent layout is based on Dorchester South in the 1950’s/60’s, although it is not an exact copy, hence the name “Casterbridge”.

Wolf Creek – 4mm scale, HO gauge – Clive Cobley, Dorset

2013 - Southampton Model Railway Exhibition - Wolf CreekThis is a fictional DCC layout set in the North Western States of the USA served by the Union Pacific Railroad, set when diesel motive power was replacing steam.
