Every now and then, it’s worth checking out http://www.locoyard.com and looking through the webpages, as there is plenty of content. Over 3000 images, 40 web pages and over 580 blog posts with a variety of topics on heritage and model railways can be found. The blog started life as a model railway diary and to a small extent this remains the case. Details of the model collection are found here and are ever changing. The newest locomotive is a D11/1 Improved Director class (see above), a model being tested for a full review in the not too distant future.
Other additions include a crane and a 9F class being renumbered; meaning that 92192 has now officially departed. Departed models are also shown at the bottom of the model collection webpage. 00 scale model railway locomotive reviews are also all linked to through the webpages and we are very keen for these to expand.
The heritage railway section includes a personal heritage railway diary but also links to blog posts published by our partners, UK Heritage Hub. Also, check out all the many valued contributions that others have made to the website – you may well wish to contribute something yourself (if you do please get in touch – it’s free!)
As we move into Autumn, there is plenty to look forward to – more model reviews, heritage railway blog posts and not least Movember. We can announce that there will be a different Movember competition this year – there will be a small prize for a randomly selected entry and in return for this, all entrants will be required to make a small donation to the charity to make it all worthwhile! Exciting times!
