The Adventuring Autisticman and Cancer Carer – Trains for Us
The heritage railway scene is forever changing, and it is great to see individuals who push full steam ahead with projects to help others enjoy the spectacle of traveling behind a vintage steam locomotive. Oliver Morgan and Joseph Halloway set up the Asperger’s Fundraisers last year and now is being taking over by the Charters 4 Change, which in the space of a year, is a fantastic achievement.
Oliver Morgan, who volunteers at the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, had this to say;
“When I set up Asperger’s Fundraiser in just March last year, I never envisaged what we’d become. With so much support, we’ve raise around £1300 pounds for the NAS! Now, we’re moving on. Asperger’s Fundraiser is going to become Charters 4 Change. The Aspergers Flyer has been our biggest success and now we’re expanding too! By backing our Kickstarter scheme, you’ll be creating the charter trains of tomorrow, The Adventuring Autisticman and The Cancer Carer. Help me and us make a difference to as many lives as we can. I implore you to help us achieve our goals.”
I urge Locoyard Readers to donate to this fantastic cause and to help autistic people to enjoy the travel of a bygone era. I have linked the Kickstarter webpage in this post, and please donate what ever you can, it doesn’t matter how much.
Thanks for reading.
