North Freedom woman dies after slipping under train just before it started to move

Tragic News! The thoughts of everyone who writes for are with her family at this terrible time.

SAUK COUNTY (WITI) — A female volunteer with the Mid-Continent Railway Museum in central Wisconsin died on Saturday, July 12th.

The Sauk County Sheriff’s Office identified her as 66-year-old Linda Rowe of North Freedom.

She was getting off a train and slipped — falling underneath just as the train started to move.

One witness through the rainy conditions could have played a role in Rowe slipping.

North Freedom is just west of Baraboo.
