Yesterday an announcement was made, that for many wasn’t a shock. A ready to run 00 scale Adams Radial Tank model is to be produced, something that has been expected for quite some time, as the class has consistently scored highly on various polls and wish lists. But what was quite incredible was who made the announcement…

We might have expected one of the current manufacturers to have made this announcement, but instead a company with (until now) no plans to build 00 scale working models made it.

That being said, the model manufacturer in question, Oxford Models, have been teasing for some time that an announcement from them was on its way. Oxford Models now take the mantel from DJ Models of being the new kid on the block in the rtr 00 scale model manufacturer arena. They have a new website, www.oxfordrail.com that has further details of this exciting new development.

I am personally very excited by this news and look forward to hearing more. These are exciting times in the model railway industry!
