The worlds most famous steam engine is getting closer to completion of its overhaul, with a new blog update published a few days ago at www.flyingscotsman.org.uk/see/photos.  Amongst other items, the blog post reports that the cab, assembly of airbrake components and work on the motion are nearly finished.

As we move closer to seeing the Flying Scotsman in action, it seemed like an excellent time to share the above photograph taken by the late Basil Roberts of 60103 Flying Scotsman at Llangollen Railway in 1994.
