The Kent and East Sussex Railway is many things.  The finest light railway in preservation is one and home to a fantastic collection of rolling stock another, but I was happy to find that it’s also a place with a great sense of humour!  On a recent tour of Rolvenden works, I had the pleasure of being shown behind the scenes, which was a fascinating experience. Articles and pictures will follow in greater detail, but I couldn’t help but start with the picture above.  The wagon pictured was used in a Kit Kat Commercial in the 1980’s and for this reason is now labelled “No KitKats are left in this vehicle overnight.”  What a brilliant anecdote!  I’ll leave you with this for the time being and look forward to sharing more details in due course.
