This is almost a pointless blog post given that this was so very easy! DCC fitting the latest Hornby 7MT Britannia class is so simple that it can be summed up in one sentence:
Unscrew the two screws at the back of the tender (above), tilt the tender body up and forward from it’s chassis, unclip the DCC blanking plate (below), fit the decoder then do the reverse. That’s it!
To think I’ve literally spent hours chipping other models, burnt myself on a soldering iron (more than once), even written off a couple of chips: when there are installations as easy as this!
